Fire trucks don't come cheap. But the $550,000 price tag of a Pierce Rescue/Pumper truck like this is worth every penny when your safety and the protection of your property is at stake. Unfortunately, the economics of fighting fires on a volunteer basis does not allow a volunteer fire company (VFC) like ours to operate on a pay-as-you-need-it (or as-you-benefit) basis.  In addition to payments of as much as $10,000 per month for a new Rescue/Pumper, we will still need money to maintain our three existing stations and ten vehicles, and continue to provide training to our all-volunteer force. And remember, we will do all this without receiving any of your tax dollars .  That's right - the services and protections offered by our VFC depend on YOU and the support you show by responding to this FIRST RESPONSE call.
